Building ÉCLAT NOIR required more than selecting a name, a band, or a blend from afar.
L. Howard traveled to Nicaragua to see the process firsthand and establish the standard personally.

Chapter Three · Estelí
In Estelí, L. Howard entered the production process directly — reviewing tobacco, observing the rolling process, testing construction, and evaluating finished cigars alongside experienced makers.
This was not a ceremonial visit. It was hands-on product development.

The Boss Lady collection was shaped through direct involvement in the process — from leaf selection and blend evaluation to construction and final presentation.
Every cigar carries the result of that journey — and an unmistakable ÉCLAT NOIR identity.
Cigar by cigar
Each sample was reviewed for construction, appearance, balance, and brand presentation.
Blend trials
Numbered samples on the bench, each banded by hand with its own recipe — wrapper, seco, viso, ligero — tasted and narrowed down in person.
The burn test
A lit Maduro sample holding a long, tight ash — the proof of construction that no specification sheet can promise.
